Getting old, no thanks

It’s paradoxical, that the idea of living a long life appeals to everyone, but the idea of getting old doesn’t appeal to anyone.

The problem with getting old is that we tend to develop bad habits and the worst habit that we develop is the one that involves death, it is a habit that will affect us all. So this evening I want to ask you are you in the right place with God.

Yes I know what you’re going to say , yes he’s off again talking about God, well I don’t only talk about God I talk to God. Does God answer, well maybe not with the answer that you want to hear but he does answer.

There is honor involved in the aging process, because growing old is normally accompanied by increased wisdom and experience. “Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained by a righteous life” (Proverbs 16:31; see also Proverbs 20:29). God wants us to remember that life is short (James 4:14) and that the beauty of youth is soon gone (Proverbs 31:30; 1 Peter 1:24).
